Sat watching the oryx coming to the waterhole for a few
hours before heading off on the private 4x4 track into the Namibrand
reserve. Last time we were here there
were lots of springbok but this time the main animals are oryx which are
everywhere – it is a couple of months later and much drier. Later in the afternoon we headed back out and
this time we spotted a large herd of zebra in the multitude of oryx.
The views of the mountains on the drive were fabulous.
The camp is set in the International Dark Sky reserve so we
were delighted that the storm clouds had moved away and we had clear skies and
could fully appreciate the night sky - unfortunately our pictures did not do it justice!!
