Reflections on Namibia

Despite this being our third trip to Namibia, the sheer beauty of the country still takes our breath away.

The wildlife in Etosha was immense with huge herds of zebra and oryx at the waterholes and we were delighted to see the black rhino thriving.  Our venture into Koakoland was only fleeting but it definitely made us want to come back and visit the remote far North border with Angola.  On this trip we elected not to go to the Skeleton coast with its stark desolate beauty – maybe next time!  The dunes at Soussevlei certainly did not disappoint and are a photographers dream, and it was amusing to climb Dune 45 with all the young overlanders.  Revisiting Namibrand and Klein-Aus Vista was a bit strange but it allowed us to do different things and really appreciate the landscape.

We have no doubt that this will not be our last visit to this amazing country.
